Tracking & Monitoring

The engine underneath every ThirdEyee dashboard: a lightweight desktop agent that syncs status every 10 seconds, tells the difference between idle and in-a-meeting, and gives managers a live, honest picture of the workday.

See real work, in real time

Every ThirdEyee agent reports in every 10 seconds — status, active app, and a fair activity score built from real keyboard and mouse signal, not guesswork.

The tracking core, explained

Four systems run quietly in the background of the desktop agent so activity data stays accurate — and fair.

Activity Scoring
Idle Detection & Nudges
Meeting Mode
Anti-Cheat Engine

Activity Scoring

A fair score, built from real signal

Every 10 seconds, the agent totals up keyboard presses, mouse movement, and clicks, and turns that into an activity percentage for the interval — not a proxy for "were you clever enough to move the mouse."

  • Keyboard and mouse events counted locally, never keystroke content
  • Score capped at 100% and reset each interval, so one busy burst doesn't inflate the whole day
  • Feeds straight into timesheets, reports, and the daily employee timeline
ACTIVITY — LAST 5 INTERVALS 51% 72% 96% 61% 100%

Idle Detection & Nudges

A gentle check-in, not a penalty

If there's no keyboard or mouse input for 30 seconds, status quietly switches to Idle. Stay away past that and the agent shows one friendly nudge — "Are you still working?" — instead of silently logging the gap.

  • Idle threshold is a company-wide setting an admin controls, not fixed in code
  • One tap ("Yes, I am working") clears the nudge and tracking continues
  • Idle time never counts toward the activity score
Are you still working? Yes, I am working

Meeting Mode

No idle penalty for listening

The agent recognizes Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex windows automatically. While one of those is active, idle checks pause and activity holds steady — because sitting still on a call isn't the same as sitting idle.

  • Detected by the active window title, no calendar integration required
  • Switches back to normal tracking the moment the call window closes
  • Keeps activity scores honest for teams that live in meetings

Anti-Cheat Engine

Catches automation, not honest mistakes

Running quietly alongside activity scoring, the anti-cheat engine watches for patterns a human doesn't produce: keyboard spam, auto-clicker rhythms, and "mouse jiggler" movement with no real travel distance.

  • Flags route to Security Alerts for a manager to review — nothing is auto-punished
  • Detects auto-clickers by the statistical regularity of click timing
  • Detects jigglers by comparing movement events against actual cursor distance

What managers can see

A clear, real-time picture — without micromanaging

Live Screen View

A low-bandwidth, low-frequency look-in on an active employee's screen — helpful for a quick check, not a permanent recording.

Screenshots & Privacy Blur

Periodic screenshots on a company-set interval, with an optional blur filter so proof-of-work doesn't mean exposing every detail on screen.

Employee Timeline

A full daily timeline per employee — status changes, apps used, and project time, laid out in order.

Office vs. Remote Detection

Sessions are tagged automatically by IP address against a saved office IP, so location reporting doesn't rely on the honor system.

Per-Employee Detail Page

One page per employee combining status, recent activity, screenshots, and schedule — everything a 1:1 conversation needs.

Screenshot Controls

Toggle screenshots on or off per employee, and clean up individual or bulk captures whenever they're no longer needed.

Built for how work actually happens

Tracking that bends around real workdays, not the other way around

Offline Resilience

No connection, no problem — the agent keeps logging locally and syncs everything automatically the moment it's back online.

Break Mode

Starting an official break pauses screenshots and activity scoring cleanly — no idle penalty for stepping away on purpose.

Mini Floating Widget

A compact, always-on-top control that shows status at a glance without hogging screen space.

Manual Time Requests

Field work or offline hours can be logged manually and routed straight into a manager's approval queue.

Location Insights

A live roster of where each teammate is working from today, rolled up from IP-based detection across the team.

Google & Microsoft SSO

Employees sign into the agent the same way they sign into work — no separate password to manage.
